Terms of service
Updated 21 Oct 2026
eurule is a software tool that gives information about EU and EEA product rules. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace a qualified adviser.
1. What eurule does
eurule evaluates your product data against written rules that we maintain, each with a legal source and a verification date. The result is information to help you decide what to do. You remain responsible for the compliance of your products, your labels, your registrations and your reports.
A green status means that the requirements eurule checks for that rule area appear to be met based on the data you entered. It never covers rule areas that eurule does not check, listed on the public page "Not covered".
2. Your account and data
You own your product data. We store it in the EEA and use it only to run the service for you. We share product data with a partner only when you send a request to that partner.
3. Subscription and cancellation
Plans are billed monthly in advance, excluding VAT. You may cancel at any time; the service runs until the end of the paid period. Your product files remain available for download for 90 days after cancellation.
4. Liability
eurule's liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. eurule is not liable for fines, blocked shipments, removed listings or lost sales. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
5. Partners
Partners listed in eurule are independent companies. Your agreement for their services is with them. eurule checks their documents and references but does not guarantee their work. eurule receives a referral fee from some partners on the first order; this never increases your price. Lawyers pay a listing fee only.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are handled by the courts of Stavanger, Norway, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
